Your Opportunity

Join a team that connects institutional clients with investment opportunities, structured solutions, and financing transactions across global markets. As an Institutional Clients Intern within the Structured Products & Syndicate team, you will gain valuable exposure to capital markets, structured products, fixed income solutions, and client engagement activities. You will have the opportunity to develop your analytical, technical, and communication skills while contributing to projects that support business growth and enhance client outcomes.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Business Support: Provide administrative and operational support to the Institutional Sales desk across Structured Products, Fixed Income, and Syndicate activities.
  • Process Automation: Support automation initiatives, including the enhancement of term sheet and pricing supplement generation through Excel VBA and other digital solutions.
  • Presentation Development: Assist in preparing client and management presentation materials covering financial products, market developments, and investment opportunities.
  • Market & Data Analysis: Support data extraction, analysis, and preparation of insights for management meetings, business reviews, and strategic discussions.
  • Reporting & Management Information: Prepare periodic reports, including trade volume analysis, staff training records, and business performance updates.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing client events, internal learning sessions, regional conference calls, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Documentation & Stakeholder Support: Coordinate meeting materials, maintain records, prepare meeting minutes, and support communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support on business initiatives, process improvements, and strategic projects as assigned.

Team Context

Global Markets provides clients with a comprehensive range of risk management, financing, and investment solutions across multiple asset classes. Within the Institutional Clients – Structured Products & Syndicate team, you will work alongside experienced sales and product professionals who partner with institutional investors, financial institutions, and corporate clients. You will gain valuable exposure to financial markets, structured investments, syndication activities, and the solutions that help clients achieve their investment and financing objectives.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Strong interest in financial markets, investment products, and capital markets activities.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with data and interpreting business information.
  • Good technical skills with an interest in automation and process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with VBA programming or automation tools would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Available for a minimum full-time internship commitment of 6.5 months.
