Job Role: Service Protection Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Service Protection team in London on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of safe, controlled, and high-quality change into live service by providing operational governance across Release Management, Service Transition, and the Change Advisory Board (CAB).

The position acts as a key control point to ensure operational readiness, risk mitigation, and compliance with service management standards, thereby protecting live service stability and improving service performance.

Key Responsibilities

Release Management Support

• Support the coordination and execution of releases across multiple systems and vendors.
• Validate release readiness criteria (including testing, rollback plans, dependencies, documentation, and environments), tracking and escalating risks, issues, and dependencies ahead of release.
• Support structured release cycles and perform post-release validation / Early Life Support (ELS).
• Contribute to reducing release-related incidents and rework.

Service Transition (New & Changing Services)

• Support the onboarding of new services and major changes into Business As Usual (BAU) support by ensuring operational readiness criteria are met (such as support models, SLAs, documentation, monitoring, and access).

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• Previous experience in IT Service Management (ITIL), ideally within Change, Release, or Transition.
• A solid understanding of ITIL practices and service lifecycle governance.
• The ability to assess risk, apply structured challenge, and support governance decisions.
• Experience working in multi-system, multi-vendor environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data for decision-making.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Desired Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation v4 certification, with further ITIL qualifications being desirable.
