Summer College Internship Program

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience offering undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and contribute to meaningful projects within our company. Interns receive mentorship from their respective managers and continue to develop throughout the summer by attending workshops focused on key business concepts.

Interns may work within skills-based tracks such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other technical or non-technical degree programs.

Program Details

• This is a paid 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
• Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical area.
• Development workshops are provided to facilitate the transition from academia to the corporate environment.
• Housing is not provided as part of the program.

Essential Accountabilities

End User Computing Focus

Day-to-day responsibilities vary by assignment, but within the End User Computing team, the intern will support the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise software and devices. The primary objective is to provide hands-on experience with software packaging, application deployment, operating system management, and modern device management technologies while contributing to team initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior engineers to assist in the creation, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of software packages using installation technologies such as MSI, MSIX, EXE, and vendor-specific installers. This includes validating silent installation parameters, creating installation/uninstall commands, generating deployment logs, documenting package requirements, and resolving application installation issues in enterprise environments.
• Gain significant experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) by creating and managing device collections, building and configuring software applications, distributing content to distribution points, monitoring deployments, and assisting with application lifecycle management. Interns will participate in testing and validation activities.
• Receive exposure to patch and vulnerability management processes, assisting with Microsoft operating system updates, third-party application patching, and Dell BIOS/driver updates. Responsibilities may include reviewing vendor release notes, testing updates in non-production environments, monitoring compliance, analyzing results, and documenting remediation actions.
• Be introduced to Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management practices, learning how applications, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and updates are deployed via Intune. Interns will help with packaging/publishing applications, monitoring deployment status, and supporting co-management initiatives between MECM and Intune.
• Project work will align with team strategies focused on improving endpoint security, software deployment efficiency, patch compliance, and modern device management. Potential projects include application packaging standardization, patch compliance reporting, deployment automation, software inventory analysis, Intune optimization, and documentation of endpoint management processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma along with proof of continuous enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program. Must be in good academic standing.
• Technical Focus (Desired): Desired Majors include Computing Sciences & Information Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, or similar).
• Experience (Preferred): Preferred experience includes familiarity with the Windows 11 Operating System (administration or power user experience) and PowerShell Scripting.
• Skills:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time.
• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region as required for meetings and/or training courses.

Compensation and EEO Information

Compensation Range

Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00

The stated salary range represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, available budget, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education relating to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity considerations. The posted salary range is only one component of the total rewards package, which may include group health/dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time off, and holidays.
