Job Description: International Tax Intern (2027)

Baker Tilly is currently seeking International Tax Interns for 2027.

Our interns gain knowledge of the firm's tax Advisory practices by working with multiple clients across various industries.

International Tax Interns assist multinational clients and high net worth individuals by performing transactional and functional analysis, transfer pricing analysis, US domestic and foreign tax planning, sourcing of income and foreign credit planning, research on international tax consulting and compliance issues, and other assigned projects.

Qualifications

Education

• Currently enrolled or pursuing a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or a related business discipline from an accredited institution.
• JD/LLM or Masters of Taxation preferred.
• Must have at least one academic term remaining following completion of the internship.

Experience

No prior professional experience is required. Previous internship, academic, leadership, volunteer, customer service, or other relevant experience and demonstrated interest in accounting or professional services are preferred.

Certifications / Licensure & Requirements

• Required: For accounting majors, on track to meet the educational requirements for CPA exam eligibility prior to the start of a full-time Associate position.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• A resume and unofficial transcript(s) are required as part of the application process.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Foundational accounting knowledge developed through academic coursework.
• Ability to conduct basic research, analyze information, and document findings clearly and accurately.
• Openness to learning emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, responsibly to support learning, efficiency, and problem solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including, but not limited to, applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.

• California: $27.50 to $109.20
• New York City: $31.25 to $105.00
• Washington DC: $30.00 to $100.80
• National: $25.00 to $84.00
