About Advisory

In Advisory, you will work on financial operations and business-critical projects, spanning areas such as company restructuring and due diligence for acquisitions. BDO's Advisory practice covers nine specialist areas, including Business Restructuring, Transaction Services, and Forensic Accounting & Valuations, offering diverse business exposure.

Through this program spanning over four years, you will gain hands-on experience while studying towards a recognized professional qualification, such as ACA or CISI. You will develop commercial and management skills while tackling challenging Advisory work.

Your responsibility will grow as your experience increases. You will have opportunities to contribute to complex client projects and learn directly from experienced colleagues and senior leaders. We provide strong support as you start your career straight from school to help balance work, studies, and development.

Upon completion of the program, a permanent role awaits you.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are curious, resilient, and eager to learn. You enjoy problem-solving, analytical thinking, and working collaboratively with others.

You do not need to have prior deep knowledge of Advisory. Bring your logical thinking, curiosity, and willingness to engage, and we will provide the experience and support for you to develop.

Important Note: You must be able to live within a commutable distance of the office you apply to. Relocation support is not provided, so please consider this carefully before applying. In-person time is valuable for team learning, relationship building, and maximizing the working experience.

Eligibility and Requirements

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

• Three A-levels (or equivalent) at A*-C (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects), or four Scottish Advanced Highers at grade A-B (or equivalent, e.g., BTEC Extended Diploma). (Note: We do not use UCAS points; evidence will be required if successful.)
• GCSEs at grade 4 and above in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C. (Evidence will be required if successful.)
• A commitment to balancing study commitments with professional work.
• The right to work in the UK. (Note: We cannot provide visa sponsorship for these roles as they do not meet current Home Office minimum salary requirements. Candidates with existing legal right to work in the UK must cover the entire 4-year contract and employment duration.)

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: £26,615 - £28,275 (Dependent on location)
