Responsibilities

  • Provide HR consulting services to Fortune 1000, middle market, and private equity clients for buy and sell-side deals (including stand-alone, carve-outs, spin-offs, and bolt-on transactions) and performance improvement engagements.
  • Perform financial due diligence on the workforce, HR function (including HR employees, payroll, time and attendance, HR technology, talent acquisition, etc.), and total reward programs (such as retirement, health & welfare, stock-based awards, executive employment contracts, and other change-in-control agreements).
  • Develop and implement strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) recommendations within the Human Resources functional space, including analyzing total rewards benchmarks and adjusting reward levels and programs accordingly.
  • Deploy employee experience and change management strategies to support affected workforces, and conduct workforce analyses using primary and secondary sources.
  • Design and develop models to analyze financial and HR operational performance.
  • Communicate analysis findings and key implications effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Math, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or Human Capital Management.
  • Must maintain a current GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility, coupled with the ability to drive strategic outcomes and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG's client tools and applications.
  • Possess strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, the ability to exercise professional judgment and skepticism, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity.
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client locations as needed. Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote based on business need. If working remotely, you must be located within the U.S.; client site assignments may require travel and extended stays.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visas for this opportunity.
