Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member on infrastructure advisory engagements for public and private sector clients.
• Support engagement teams and clients with insights on commercial, financial, funding, planning, and policy topics related to infrastructure.
• Contribute analyses and evaluations for clients regarding key development activities, including planning, project analysis, market demand, design, construction, funding, financing, operations, and maintenance of a project or program.
• Advise public agency clients on infrastructure matters such as transportation/mobility development strategies, real estate development, and broadband/digital infrastructure, including the use of public-private partnerships, alternative delivery options, private financing, and public funding sources.
• Provide support in the preparation of proposals for target clients.
• Assist with the development of white papers, issue papers, and other collateral.
• Participate in industry marketing initiatives as appropriate.
• Conclude the internship by presenting a case study to partners on the services and solutions learned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing degrees or majors in Business, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Business Analytics, or another relevant field.
• Must maintain a current or most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility. Must show the ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes while maintaining a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and the capability to quickly learn KPMG's client tools and applications.
• Possess strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, coupled with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a professional services setting.
• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client locations as needed.
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote based on business needs. If working remotely, you must be located within the U.S. Client site locations may require travel and extended stays.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the requirement of future employment-based visa sponsorship. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
