Intern for Human Resources

Responsibilities

• Support the Human Resources Leadership Team during a summer internship across various HR functions, utilizing specialized applications, tools, and platforms.
• Complete assignments and special projects assigned by HR Center of Excellence department leaders.
• Collaborate with other HR internship team members on a cross-functional HR capstone project.
• Conduct research, compile analytics, and develop a team presentation to review the output of the capstone project with the HR Leadership Team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Leadership, Human Resources Talent Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, or an equivalent program.
• Must have a current or most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Possess strong technical acumen, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills; demonstrate the ability to drive strategic outcomes while maintaining a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
• On-the-job experience in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, time management, decision-making, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate a quality service mindset and the ability to navigate MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
• Experience with multimedia and/or rapid development authoring tools (Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate) is a plus.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries, a basic understanding of relational databases, and/or experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) is a plus.
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote based on business need. Remote work requires the applicant to be located within the U.S. Client site locations may require travel and extended stays.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing present or future employment-based visa sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits:

KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations. KPMG offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package, including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and mental well-being benefits. Personal Time Off is provided per fiscal year, along with two paid breaks annually (one at year-end and one around July 4th).
