Position Overview

D.A. Davidson & Co. is accepting applications for Experienced Analyst positions in the Investment Banking Technology Group. The Analyst will work closely with senior bankers on strategic assignments and assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services.

The Analyst program includes training with Wall Street Prep during the first year, mentorship from senior bankers, and ongoing training throughout the three-year program. After three years, Analysts will have the opportunity to be promoted to an Associate.

This role is suited for candidates who are passionate about investment banking and corporate finance, thrive in team environments with high expectations, and enjoy conducting extensive research and in-depth analysis to create professional work products for investment banking clients.

Qualifications

• One to 18 months of experience in sell-side mergers and acquisitions.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Highly motivated and confident, with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging field.
• Strong knowledge of business software, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of corporate finance and accounting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Good judgment in confidential situations and the ability to exercise discretion.
• Flexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Securities Industry Essentials Exam.
• Upon hiring, successful completion of the FINRA Limited Representative–Investment Banking Exam (Series 79) and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63).

Responsibilities

• Work on a team within the Technology industry vertical and develop industry-specific knowledge.
• Support team projects, including business development activities and investment banking transactions.
• Conduct financial analysis for a wide variety of projects, including company valuations, projections, and peer analyses.
• Prepare materials for team assignments, such as pitch books, management presentations, and information memoranda.
• Coordinate and perform due diligence.
• Participate in recruiting efforts.
