About the Programme

The Deutsche Bank six-month Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You will gain experience working on real projects, learn how Deutsche Bank delivers for clients worldwide, and build your professional network with colleagues across the business.

The seasonal internship is a six-month, full-time programme running from March 2027 to September 2027. It is designed for students in their penultimate year of study who are seeking a long-term internship as part of their course.

About the Division

Our Investment Banking & Capital Markets business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services offered by a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors.

We provide buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, debt and equity capital raising, including dedicated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) solutions, and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

About the Role

As an intern in the UK Coverage Team, you will gain insight into our business from different perspectives while working on day-to-day activities and special projects. You will contribute ideas that help clients achieve their financial goals and gain experience across different areas of our business.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Performing in-depth company and industry research and analysis.
• Supporting the execution of client advisory and financial transactions across public and private mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, equity capital markets and private fundraising, while collaborating with local and international teams.
• Preparing marketing materials and transaction documentation, including confidential memoranda, board papers, pitch books, corporate profiles and analytical materials.
• Building and maintaining financial models, valuations and forecasts to support strategic advice and transaction execution.
• Supporting public clients through market analysis, preparation of investor materials and interactions with investors.
• Developing an understanding of how mid-cap and large-cap companies enhance shareholder value, access capital and pursue strategic opportunities.
• Engaging regularly with listed corporate clients through Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Broking franchise by providing market insights, shareholder analysis and investor materials.
• Working closely with Equity Research, Equity Sales and IBCM Product teams to support public clients, originate opportunities and contribute to IPO and broader capital markets mandates.
• Developing a broad understanding of Deutsche Bank’s product suite and how the wider platform can be leveraged to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

• Strong foundational knowledge of and interest in corporate finance and accounting.
• Confident, constructive and effective communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and contribute to day-to-day client relationships.
• The ability to solve problems, organise tasks and manage multiple projects with demanding timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• An interest in and ability to work collaboratively across the Deutsche Bank platform and with global teams in support of our clients.

A financial background is not required. Our comprehensive training programmes will provide the technical skills needed to build a career with us.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the 2027 Internship Programme, you must:

• Complete your studies, including all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation, between 1 August 2027 and 31 July 2028.
• Be able to start full-time work in July 2028, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
• Return to full-time study after the 2027 internship. If you do not return to full-time study, you will not be eligible for the 2028 Graduate Programme.
• Have achieved at least three A-Levels at grade AAA, including a minimum grade A in A-Level Maths, or the UCAS points equivalent. Applicants who studied outside the UK should research the relevant grade equivalents before applying.
• Be on track to achieve a 2:1 or First, or equivalent, in your undergraduate degree.
• Have no more than 12 months of full-time, relevant work experience.
• For some IBCM placements, fluency in a European language in addition to English is desirable.
