About this role

BlackRock is recruiting for a dynamic, committed early careers professional for an Administrative position supporting our executive office. This position will be based in our NYC HQ and requires being in the office 5 days per week.

In this role, you will partner closely with a core team of Administrative professionals, managing complex administrative and business support needs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent anticipation and problem-solving skills, high accountability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and support clearly defined procedures and processes related to the executive office.
  • Demonstrate thoughtful management of the leader’s time against priorities and ensure thorough preparation for meetings.
  • Coordinate business travel while being aware of potential conflicts; process relevant expenses in line with company policy.
  • Take ownership of key deliverables and structure work to achieve goals, understanding the big picture and long-term impacts.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail in the coordination and communication of logistics.
  • Maintain and leverage a broad network of contacts; effectively communicate and partner with internal stakeholders to achieve goals; serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of BlackRock’s technology capabilities, policies, and procedures as they relate to the administrative and executive roles.
  • Manage and support ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Understand the rhythm of business of the executive office/team, adjusting scheduling according to business priorities.
  • Support large meetings, townhall events, and offsites, managing all planning details and coordination.
  • Partner with Chief of Staffs to various leaders across the firm.

Skills & Behaviors

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of related administrative experience.
  • The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, comfortable operating with ambiguity.
  • The ability to make decisions and act quickly when information is limited; can assess the criticality of potential risks, prioritize, and escalate appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), active listening skills, and the ability to recognize different views to help build consensus.
  • A deep understanding of big-picture goals and how to prioritize effectively to achieve them.
  • The desire to gain a deeper understanding of technology and processes and the ability to educate others.

Compensation and Benefits

For New York, NY only, the salary range for this position is USD $76,000.00 - USD $145,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.

BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy, and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department, and individual performance.
