Senior Executive, Exchange Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical thinker to join our securities market operations team. The ideal candidate will have the chance to gain experience in one or more of the following areas within the securities market value chain: listing, trading, clearing & settlement, and depository services (including custody, corporate actions, SBL, and KYC), as well as market data management.

This is a one-year contract.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of procedures related to listing, trading, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, custodial services, KYC, and market data operations.
• Proactively review and improve processes to ensure high standards of processing and risk management in daily operations and project implementation.
• Analyze and provide accurate recommendations to management for timely decisions in a 24-hour operating environment, especially when underlying issues and solutions are not apparent.
• Support and drive the completion of projects and initiatives designed to develop securities products and platforms.
• Deepen relationships with Members and other external stakeholders.
• Support team managers and supervisors in building an effective and cohesive team that contributes to SGX's success.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder with a minimum of 1–4 years of working experience in securities market operations, including familiarity with banking, broker, or share registrar operations, where applicable.
• Strong understanding of Equities & FICC products and processes (both Exchange and OTC).
• Proven track record of accurate execution and a keen eye for detail.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Demonstrates a "can-do" spirit and is a fast learner.
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and effective relationship management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Knowledge in VBA, R, or Python is a plus.
