Responsibilities

• Implement and help build research and tracking platforms incorporating data pipelines, analytics engines, and visualization tools.
• Architect and design data pipeline infrastructure to facilitate data ETL processes and query financial data from a variety of sources.
• Work with internal and external technology teams to manage and operationalize these platforms.
• Maintain and design in-house databases to support the needs of various analytics workstreams and products.
• Explore and develop ways to house analytics engines and facilitate workflows.
• Identify and implement improvements to automate manual processes and optimize speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Set up and maintain version control for the analytics codebase.
• Support research on analytics projects, including studying industry trends and financial markets and correlating different exogenous variables with performance.

Requirements

• Availability to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Candidates able to commit to a full-time internship of five days per week, or a minimum of four days per week on a part-time basis, are strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, S3, JFrog, and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with Qlik Sense, Snowflake, Tableau, and Git is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of portfolio theory, statistics, financial modeling, and traditional financial performance metrics would be helpful but is not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
