Intern, Public Markets (Global Macro)

Join us in London to intern within our Public Markets division. In this role, you will support the Global Macro portfolio management team across various global fixed income strategies, contributing to investment research, analytics, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

About the Job

This is a 5-month placement based in London, within the Public Markets function. You will join the Global Macro team and support a broad range of investment activities focused on global fixed income strategies. The anticipated start date is October 2026.

What You Will Do

• Support Portfolio Managers in managing global fixed income strategies.
• Gather data and conduct analysis to support investment views across sovereign bonds, currencies, duration, and yield curves.
• Contribute to performance, attribution, and risk analytics reporting across the team’s mandates.
• Maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and analytical tools essential to the investment process.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to support research, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.
• Prepare internal materials, charts, and presentations for team meetings and client reporting.
• Participate in Global Macro and internal investment meetings to develop a deep understanding of the team’s investment process.
• Undertake research and analytical projects under the guidance and feedback of the team.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrable interest in global fixed income, rates, macroeconomic, and foreign exchange markets.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working extensively with data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thoroughness, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.
• High motivation, combined with a strong degree of integrity and personal responsibility.
• A willingness to ask insightful questions, take initiative, and learn quickly.
• Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment.
• Highly computer literate; coding and Excel skills are advantageous but not required.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Copilot, coupled with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
