Your Role in Our Team

Join Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia Pacific as a Finance Intern and gain hands-on exposure across Financial Reporting & Treasury, Controlling, Risk Management, and Compliance. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to key business, regulatory, and strategic initiatives within the reinsurance industry.

Key Contributions and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Treasury

  • Support monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Assist in regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support treasury activities, including banking administration and FX management.

Risk & Compliance

  • Assist in risk management, compliance monitoring, and governance activities.
  • Support the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), stress testing, and risk reporting.
  • Participate in compliance-related projects, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory reviews.

Business Planning & Controlling

  • Support budgeting, expense monitoring, and cost management activities.
  • Assist in financial analysis, management reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.

Projects & Corporate Initiatives

  • Contribute to Finance Transformation Projects, including system implementation and process documentation.
  • Support corporate responsibility, sustainability, and employee engagement activities.
  • Conduct research, prepare presentations, and provide support on ad hoc assignments.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to commit for at least 6 months (January–June 2027), with a minimum of 3 full days per week. Priority will be given to candidates who can commit full-time.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
  • Prior insurance or reinsurance experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in other Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a desire to learn and prepare for a career in the reinsurance industry.
  • A team player with a service-oriented mindset, demonstrating adaptability, meticulousness, proactivity, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
