Job Summary

The HKEX Summer Internship Programme offers interns a unique experience in global markets. Interns have the opportunity to learn, develop new skills, take on direct responsibility for work and projects, and be part of a fun and ambitious team at the heart of global markets. By joining us, you will gain insight into life at work at HKEX while developing valuable practical, on-the-job experience.

The programme commences in June and runs through August. The maximum employment period for each intern is 10 weeks.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are penultimate-year students graduating between September 2027 and July 2028 with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Are on track to achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of a 4.0 scale) or Second Class Honours (Upper Division) equivalent.
• Demonstrate a passion for technology, innovation, and the application of technology in financial markets, showing curiosity about emerging technologies.
• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Are curious, adaptable, and eager to embrace new challenges.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrate excellent command of written and spoken English.
