Summer Business Analyst Internship Programme

Programme dates: June to August 2027, with exact dates to be confirmed based on university term schedules.

Our Summer Business Analyst Internship Programme is designed to simulate our Business Graduate Programme, giving you insight into what a career with LSEG could be like.

Join LSEG’s Markets division and become part of a dynamic team that powers global financial markets and helps organisations navigate risk with confidence. The programme brings together our Capital Markets and Post Trade businesses, offering solutions that support raising and trading capital across asset classes and geographies, clearing and portfolio optimisation, and the management of regulatory, reputational and financial risk.

You may gain exposure to activities such as enabling companies to list and grow on the London Stock Exchange, supporting post-trade operations, and delivering trusted data and tools including World-Check and identity verification services. You may also work with platforms such as FXall and Tradeweb, collaborate with clients around the world, and contribute to the future of financial markets.

This is an opportunity for students studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics subject to apply their skills in a business-related role. During the recruitment process, we will learn more about your skills and interests and how they align with the needs of the business to help place you in your first rotation.

Eligibility

• You must be a penultimate-year undergraduate student due to complete all course requirements in summer 2027.
• This is a nine-week summer internship involving real responsibilities and contributions to the success of our organisation.
• Ideal candidates will have the right to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the programme.

What We Are Looking For

We are passionate about recruiting people who want to understand the breadth of our organisation, how its different areas connect and function, and how they can contribute as LSEG grows and diversifies.

• A demonstrable interest in financial markets, developed through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
• Confidence working with large datasets and the ability to code in relevant languages such as Python or SQL, or experience with tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Curiosity about data and the ability to analyse information, draw conclusions and propose solutions.
• The ability to connect ideas and think strategically.
• Focus, resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Study in an engineering, finance or economics field, with a strong interest in fintech or technology.

Recruitment Process

1. Submit an application and your résumé.
2. Complete an untimed immersive online assessment designed to provide insight into what it is like to work at LSEG.
3. Participate in a video interview featuring strength-based interview questions.
4. Attend a half-day assessment centre involving several types of exercises. Further information will be provided when you are invited.

All assessment centres are held virtually.

Compensation and Benefits Information

LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $55,500–$92,500. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state.

In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for LSEG’s Variable Incentive Compensation Plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will reflect job-related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.

LSEG roles, excluding internships and part-time roles of fewer than 20 hours per week, are typically eligible for the LSEG Benefits Programme, which includes annual wellness allowance, paid time off, medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending and health savings options, prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) savings plan and company match. Benefits may also include basic life insurance, disability benefits, emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance and commuter assistance.
