Summer Business Management & Sales Internship Programme

Programme dates: June to August 2027, with exact dates to be confirmed based on university term schedules.

Please review all internship programme opportunities and submit one application. If you submit more than one application, only your first application will be reviewed.

Our Summer Business Management & Sales Internship Programme is designed to simulate our Business Graduate Programme, providing insight into what a career with LSEG could be like.

LSEG is at the forefront of trading services, a fundamental part of the financial and transactional services that support and enhance the development of businesses and economies worldwide.

As an intern, you may join one of our flagship trading services, including London Stock Exchange, LSEG FX, Tradeweb, Turquoise, or LCH, our global leading multi-asset clearing house.

We help customers across the trade life cycle by supporting compliance and efficiency in clearing and reporting obligations, while providing access to diverse liquidity pools across various asset classes. Through this work, we foster growth for customers, communities, and economies worldwide.

The dynamic nature of the division means graduates join a fast-paced environment where immediate reactions and long-term vision are equally important.

Internship Experience

As an intern, you can expect exposure to areas such as:

  • Solving problems for FX customers by understanding their business goals, maintaining relationships with existing customers, keeping them informed, and managing post-sale activity.
  • Research and analysis of global markets, with potential focus areas including debt listings, valuations, and shareholder and geographic analysis.
  • Delivery of business intelligence, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Monitoring and analysing risks, interpreting data, and supporting the delivery of risk projects or reporting.

You will contribute individually, assist with the product life cycle, and work as part of a team to develop specialist skills. During the recruitment process, we will learn more about your skills and interests and align them with the needs of the business to help place you in the right area.

These are real roles. Our nine-week summer interns contribute to the success of the organisation in the same way they would as graduates.

Eligibility

  • You must be a penultimate-year undergraduate student due to complete all course requirements in summer 2027.
  • You should have the right to work in the United States without restrictions for the duration of the programme.

What We Are Looking For

We are passionate about recruiting people who want to understand the breadth of our organisation, how it fits together, and how it functions. We are looking for individuals who are interested in contributing to our continued development as we grow and diversify.

  • A demonstrable interest in financial markets developed through studies, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
  • Curiosity about data and the ability to analyse information, draw conclusions, and propose solutions.
  • The ability to connect ideas and think strategically.
  • Focus, resilience, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

You will stand out if you can demonstrate that what you achieve is equally important as how you achieve it.

Application Deadline

Applications close on 30 October. Candidates are considered on a rolling basis, so early application is recommended. Due to the volume of applications, we may close applications earlier than the stated deadline.

Recruitment Process

  1. Submit an application and your résumé.
  2. Complete an untimed immersive online assessment designed to provide insight into what it is like to work at LSEG.
  3. Complete a video interview consisting of a series of strength-based interview questions.
  4. Attend a half-day virtual assessment centre involving several different types of exercises. Further information will be provided when candidates are invited.

All LSEG assessment centres are held virtually.
