Engineering Summer Internship Programme (June 2027)

The Engineering Summer Internship Programme is designed to simulate our Engineering Graduate Programme so you can understand what a career in technology at LSEG would really be like.

Eligibility

• You must be a penultimate year undergraduate studying a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) and complete your degree in the summer of 2028.

Programme Overview

During your internship, you will explore potential career paths by working within our D&A, Markets, Risk Intelligence, FTSE Russell, and I&C Engineering functions.

Roles can vary from development and programming to business analysis and tech project management. During recruitment, we will assess your skills and interests and how they align with business needs to place you in the right team.

These are real roles. Our 9-week summer interns play a part in the success of our organisation, just like they would as a graduate.

What We Are Looking For

• An interest in technology demonstrated through work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies (e.g., involvement in a Computing Society, teaching yourself to code, or focusing on technology within a university project).
• Interest in financial markets and how technology supports the business.
• Curiosity for data, with the ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
• The ability to connect the dots and think creatively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating focus, resilience, and flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

You will stand out if you can demonstrate not only what you achieve, but also how you achieve it.

30th October. We recommend an early application because we consider candidates on a rolling basis and may close applications earlier due to volume.

Recruitment Process

• Stage 1: Submit your application and resume.
• Stage 2: Complete a Technical and Coding Assessment. This assessment is designed to evaluate your coding ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Stage 3: Complete an untimed Immersive Online Assessment designed to give you insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
• Stage 4: Participate in a video interview using a strength-based interview style.
• Final stage: Virtual half-day assessment centre with several different types of exercises (further information is provided at the point of invite).

Please note: all assessment centres are held in-person.
