The Summer Business Management & Sales Internship Programme has been crafted to simulate our Business Graduate Programme so that you can understand what a career with LSEG would really be like.

As an intern, you will join one of our flagship trading services: London Stock Exchange, LSEG FX, Tradeweb, Turquoise, or LCH—our global leading multi-asset clearing houses.

We help customers across the trade life cycle, ensuring compliance and efficiency in clearing and reporting obligations, while granting access to diverse liquidity pools across various asset classes—fostering growth for customers, communities, and economies worldwide.

The dynamic nature of the division means interns will join a fast-paced environment where instant reaction and long-term vision are equally important.

What You Can Expect

As an intern, you can expect exposure across one or more of the following areas:

• Solve problems for our FX customers by understanding their business goals, maintaining relationships with existing customers, keeping them informed, and handling post-sale activity.
• Research and analysis into global markets, which could focus on debt listings, valuations, and shareholder and geographic analysis.
• Delivery of business intelligence, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Risk teams, including monitoring and analysing risks, and interpreting data in readiness for the delivery of risk projects or reporting.

Joining as an intern allows you to be an individual contributor, assist the product lifecycle, and work as part of a team to develop specialist skills. During recruitment, we will get to know your skills, interests, and how they align with the needs of the business.

These are real roles. Our 9-week summer interns play a part in the success of our organisation, just like they would do as a graduate.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a penultimate year undergraduate student due to complete all requirements of your course by summer 2028.

• A demonstrable interest in financial markets, built through your studies, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
• Curiosity for data and the ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
• The ability to connect the dots and think strategically.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment—demonstrate focus, resilience, and flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ideal candidates will have the rights to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the programme.

You will stand out if you can demonstrate and recognise that what you achieve is equally important as how you achieve it.

Application close: 30th October. We recommend an early application as candidates are considered on a rolling basis. Due to the volume of applications, we might close applications earlier.

Recruitment Process

• Stage 1: Make an application and submit your resume.
• Stage 2: Complete an untimed Immersive Online Assessment designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
• Stage 3: Attend a video interview where you answer questions using a strength-based interview style.
• Stage 4: Participate in a half-day assessment centre with several different types of exercises (further information is provided at the point of invite).
