Role Overview

As a Private Client Banker in Branch Banking, you will be the primary point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients and other branch customers. You will manage their complete banking relationships across the company through a proactive, advice-based approach designed to grow balances and deepen relationships. You will also acquire new clients by soliciting referrals and developing internal and external sources.

You will help customers make the most of their money by providing education and advice tailored to their financial needs. This role requires a commitment to customer service, employee support, diversity and inclusion, and building lasting relationships by doing the right thing and exceeding expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Share the value of Chase Private Client with clients who may be eligible.
  • Actively manage banking relationships through an advice-based approach, ensuring each client receives products and services suited to their needs.
  • Partner with Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, Business Relationship Managers and other specialists to connect customers with experts who can address specialized financial needs.
  • Make clients’ lives more convenient by demonstrating and setting up self-service options that provide 24/7 account access.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulatory banking requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
  • At least one year of branch banking, banking or equivalent financial services experience, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and generating revenue.
  • If not currently registered, successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6 or 7, applicable state registration—including Series 63 or 66, if required—and Life licenses is required within 180 days of starting the role.
  • Compliance with Dodd-Frank and Truth in Lending Act requirements.
  • High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Dodd-Frank and Truth in Lending Act Requirements

This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank and Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for loan originators. An employment offer is contingent upon JPMorgan Chase’s review of an applicant’s criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), and any other information relevant to determining financial responsibility, good character and general fitness for the position. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify an applicant from consideration. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act and Dodd-Frank loan originator requirements.

This position also requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorgan Chase, employees must register with NMLS or update an existing registration to reflect their employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after the start date and timely completion of annual renewals and required updates.
