Job Description & Responsibilities

A career in Actuarial Services provides the opportunity to contribute insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third-party administrators. You will provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes.

The successful candidate will work on projects in the following areas:

• IFRS 17 implementation and financial transformation post-implementation, including KPI design and management information, financial budget and forecast, model modernization, and data enhancement
• Risk management and management transformation work, including asset liability management, capital management, expense management, and product and channel management
• Strategy and management consulting for insurance companies
• Other traditional actuarial work, such as reviews and analysis, valuation, modelling, and actuarial due diligence
• Actuarial audit support

Our internship programme marks the beginning of an exciting journey into PwC Consulting. If you perform well, you may be offered a place in our Graduate Programme upon completing your university studies.

Requirements

We are looking for high-caliber tertiary students with Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, Physics, or majors with a strong mathematics background. You should also demonstrate:

• Good communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills with good commercial sense
• Ability to solve problems and learn quickly
• A collaborative team mindset and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong interest in personal and professional development
• Ability to work with a variety of people
