Purpose of the Role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the retail banking and data analytics division, providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Execute small research projects to support strategic decision-making; prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings; collaborate with senior management to implement research findings for retail banking data and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identify opportunities; develop business cases; manage deployment and launch of new products and services for retail banking data and analytics.
- Manage client relationships and provide customer service support under steadily decreasing supervision, including responding to questions about products and services and processing transactions.
- Manage the development and implementation of financial models and strategies to support decision-making for retail banking data and analytics.
- Train and mentor junior colleagues.

Customer and Digital at Barclays offers personalized financial services across savings, investments, mortgages, credit cards, insurance, and digital banking. Through Specialist Customer Care, Barclays supports key life moments such as fraud, bereavement, and complex financial needs. Business Banking empowers over a million SMEs with funding, tools, guidance, and long-term partnerships.
Role Summary (Advanced Analytics Analyst)
As an Advanced Analytics Analyst, you will build expertise in programming, modelling, and data visualization using leading platforms. You will also develop consulting skills, including problem-solving, translating insights into actions, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
You will conduct hypothesis-driven analysis on customer, product, and channel data, delivering deep dives and creating data assets that enhance decision-making across Barclays.

Eligibility Criteria
- You must be in your penultimate year of university and graduating in 2028.
- You must bring enthusiasm, drive, and a sharp eye for spotting opportunities and solving problems, with an ambitious, solutions-focused mindset that puts clients first.
Location
The location for this role is indicated in the job title, and you will be based at that location. If you receive a return offer to the graduate programme, your location will be the same as during your internship.
Visa Sponsorship
- Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria.
- If you are not eligible to receive a skilled worker visa and Barclays is therefore unable to secure a skilled worker visa for you, you must have your own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from June 2027 to August 2027.
