About the Asia Cross-Border Advisory Group
The Asia Cross-Border Advisory Group at Evercore focuses on advising corporate and private equity clients on strategic cross-border transactions involving Asia, particularly China, South Korea, and India. The group operates across New York, Hong Kong and Beijing, and collaborates with various teams globally to deliver integrated solutions across complex cross-border situations. The group’s core sector focus includes Healthcare, Consumer, TMT and Industrials. The team plays a leading role in Evercore’s coverage of Asian strategics and private equity clients, particularly in the Chinese market, and serves as a critical bridge to Evercore’s alliance partners in South Korea and India.
Position
Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Asia Cross-Border Advisory group in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities
Analysts are highly motivated individuals with a broad range of experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. They must be able to work on several projects concurrently and demonstrate a strong desire to learn and work hard. Analysts will work on a variety of assignments including:
- Acquisition advisory
- Capital raising
- Recapitalizations
- Divestitures
- Partnerships and joint ventures
As part of the team assigned to these projects, individuals will be responsible for:
- Preparing for and attending client meetings
- Financial modeling
- Resolving complex accounting issues
- Industry analysis
- Due diligence
- New client development
Analysts typically work as part of small teams and have close contact with senior client contacts as well as partners within the firm. Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Investment Banking experience, or Class of 2026 graduates with a prior investment banking internship
- Graduate of a top-tier university
- Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
- Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Must be bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese
- High level of commitment, work ethic and stamina
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and achievement-oriented character
- Global mindset with a keen interest in working across different regions and cultures
Compensation & Benefits
Expected base salary range: $120,000 – $140,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus delivered in cash and/or deferred equity. Evercore offers a variety of benefits and programs, subject to eligibility. These include, but are not limited to:
