Employee & Workplace Experience (EWX) Intern
Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Expect to meet quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.”
This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.
You will join the Employee & Workplace Experience (EWX) team within People Success. This team is responsible for creating and enhancing the places and programs that define Coinbase culture. As an EWX Intern, you will own an initiative that improves and/or informs how we design, measure, and scale employee experiences across remote and in-person environments.
What You’ll Do
- Program analytics & measurement: Build or improve dashboards that track program effectiveness, engagement, and ROI across EWX initiatives. Surface insights to help the team make faster, better decisions.
- AI-assisted operations: Identify manual, repetitive workflows and design AI-powered solutions to automate or streamline them (e.g., intake automation, reporting pipelines, or intelligent routing).
- Program design & iteration: Analyze participation data, employee feedback, and outcome signals to recommend improvements to existing programs or design new ones.
- Operational systems improvement: Work with internal platforms to improve data quality, user experience, or reporting capability.
- Change management & communication: Support change management strategies and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, with demonstrated coursework or projects in process improvement.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace with working familiarity with at least one project management or process mapping tool (e.g., Asana, Jira, Lucidchart).
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present data to inform operational decisions (e.g., through coursework, prior internships, or personal projects).
- Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to draft content, automate workflows, or prototype solutions.
- Utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $40 USD (target)
