Finance Operations Intern (Institutional Operations Solutions)

Join the Institutional Operations Solutions (IOS) team within the Institutional group as a Finance Operations Intern. This team manages risk and delivers operational solutions across Coinbase’s Institutional organization, supporting a broad range of teams and functions that help scale the institutional business. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and institutional clients, tackling real operational challenges.

This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day IOS operations while identifying and managing operational risk across compliance and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and risk management capabilities, recommending solutions backed by data analysis
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to build technology solutions that support institutional operations at scale
• Analyze data sets and deliver recommendations grounded in sound quantitative reasoning
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a group project solving a real business problem, presenting findings and solutions to the leadership team

Required Skills and Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in business, management, finance, accounting, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with capacity to identify second-order effects and streamline processes accordingly
• Proven willingness to engage cross-functional stakeholders and collaborate in team settings
• Familiarity with finance or banking concepts, with interest in crypto and digital assets
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

• Pay Transparency: Depending on work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range as detailed below: $40–$40 USD.
