Sales & Trading Off-Cycle Internship Program
In the Institutional Equity division, we provide clients around the world with intellectual insights and innovative product solutions and services that help them generate alpha. In the Fixed Income division, we work in fast-paced, constantly changing global markets to assess and manage risk, trade securities, manage client relationships, and structure and execute innovative transactions.

Program Overview
The Sales & Trading Off-Cycle Internship Program provides an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere in the Sales & Trading Division by taking on some of the roles and responsibilities of a Full-time Analyst for a short period.
Placement and Duration: The program runs for six months. It is for recent graduates or candidates due to complete their studies in 2027 or 2028.
You will be assigned to a specific desk where your skills are best aligned. You will undertake work that directly supports delivering exceptional ideas to clients. There will also be opportunities to take on additional projects to broaden your understanding and improve desk productivity and efficiency. This off-cycle internship is available in the Morgan Stanley London office.

Training and Team Environment
You will receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects. You will join a diverse and collaborative team of experienced industry professionals and graduates from leading universities, all motivated by solving interesting and complex problems.
You will gain exposure to Sales, Trading, and Management, and build your network through opportunities to connect with peers and colleagues across the Firm.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analysts are hired onto a specific desk within Fixed Income where they remain for the duration of the program. Depending on desk requirements, duties may include:
- Working with colleagues who manage client relationships by communicating value-added ideas to clients based on your own insights and the Firm's research
- Supporting stock pitching by writing investment cases, including analysis of competitive advantages, sector specifics, and valuations
- Providing support on pricing requests and contributing to ideas generation
- Assisting in developing products tailored to meet bespoke client needs
- Working across the full life cycle of a trade, from initial stages (indicative quotes) to post-settlement support
- Improving and developing automated tools
- Participating in Companies’ Roadshows
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
- Recent graduate, or expected to graduate in 2027 or 2028
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with comfort working with financial data
- Results-driven performance under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Curious, resilient, with high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven team player who can manage a wide range of responsibilities
- Commitment to excellence, maintaining high professional and ethical standards
- Ability to articulate complex ideas simply and summarize them effectively
- Excellent academic background and fluency in English
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is an advantage
