Role Overview

At Citadel Securities, our traders make complex risk decisions and execute trades at scale in real time. You will work with markets and trading experts who use predictive analytics and advanced technology to monitor risk, respond to market signals, execute trading strategies, and provide liquidity to major financial institutions, including central banks, pension funds, and asset managers.

As an intern, you will challenge the impossible in markets and trading through an 11-week program. The internship is designed to help you collaborate and connect with senior team members, and offers opportunities to network and socialize with peers throughout the program.

Objectives

• Develop in-depth knowledge of financial markets
• Constantly learn and adapt trading approaches
• Work with the current trading team to build new tools, improve the pricing framework, and run data analysis
• Learn how traders price and hedge client flow, and help develop the firm’s relationship with its client base
• Observe how traders develop trading strategies around technical and market events

Skills & Talents

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in finance, business administration, economics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline (preferred)
• Passion and demonstrated interest in the markets
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic; willing to question the status quo with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Proactive, motivated, and driven to learn, adapt, and take initiative
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to efficiently multitask and handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments
