Programme Overview

Our Summer Analyst Programme is aimed at penultimate year students and is designed to provide a unique insight into the global world of finance. Summer Analysts will observe and experience the whole business development process with Japanese customers located in the UK, from client marketing to credit analysis, as well as interaction with support functions like operations.

With a 10-week structure, the programme is designed to provide a unique insight into investment banking. You will begin with a week of technical training to build a deep understanding of our products and markets, before joining your team.

What to Expect

• Prepare business proposals and presentation materials, with opportunities to accompany Relationship Managers to client meetings.
• Support ongoing credit analysis by drafting credit applications, completing borrower ratings, and gathering information to monitor the credit portfolio.
• Assist with day-to-day operational activities in line with internal procedures.
• Collaborate with teams across Operations, Markets, Transaction Banking, and Credit to respond to client requests and contribute to internal meetings.

As part of a select intake, you will learn from experienced professionals in the corporate banking industry and be allocated a buddy to ensure you have the support needed to get the most out of the Summer Analyst Programme.

The Summer Analyst Programme serves as a pipeline into the full-time MUFG Analyst Programme. Successful interns may receive an offer to join the full-time Analyst Programme the following year.
