Guardian Glass is seeking Engineering Interns to join our teams this upcoming Summer 2027. At Guardian, we make high-performance, energy-efficient glass for homes and buildings, and the ideas, formulas, and processes that make these products possible.

The internship opportunity is a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2027. Engineering interns are assigned U.S. locations, likely in a manufacturing facility, to help support innovation, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality assurance—with an overarching focus on compliance, safety, and health.

What You Will Do

Engineering interns are recruited from many disciplines, including (but not limited to):

• Electrical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Materials Engineering/Engineering Technology

Some examples of responsibilities or projects include:

• Working in CAD software
• Preparing and performing failure testing on glass/trim samples
• Automation of processes and standardized reporting
• Time studies and lean process improvement to achieve operational excellence
• Supporting product development lab experiments and field trials
• Working with and learning about tooling
• Supporting project teams on new equipment installations

Interns work alongside employees to solve real problems and contribute insights that improve products and services. Interns also learn about Koch’s Principle-Based Management culture, participate in networking events, collaborate on case studies with interns from other disciplines, and take part in the Innovation Challenge.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Enrolled in an Engineering degree or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

For this role, Guardian anticipates paying $27–30 per hour.
