ALM Treasury is a Transversal Activity present throughout the Group in more than 50 countries, with approximately 600 employees and three operational missions:

• Managing the Group’s liquidity position in business-as-usual conditions and in crisis situations
• Managing interest rate risks in the banking book
• Managing operational and structural foreign exchange risks

What You Will Do

ALM Treasury Business Management Intern

• Develop and maintain a neural network to predict market indicators
• Maintain a weekly dashboard of financial markets indicators
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reconciliation, including market risk, P&L, balance sheet, and funding topics
• Assist the front office team on ad-hoc tasks as required
• Enhance the regional ALMT communication platform
• Support business management in regional projects

Global Banking ALM Treasury Intern

The intern will work across a broad range of topics related to liquidity risk management for Global Banking activities in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). This role supports Global Banking ALMT in the context of balance sheet risk and local ALM Treasury risk regulatory expectations, ensuring adherence with BNP Paribas’ ALM Treasury Management Framework, including:

• Production of various indicators for management reporting across the whole Asia-Pacific region
• Building knowledge of liquidity management and regulatory environment, including global regulations (e.g., Basel III) and local regulations
• Understanding internal systems/methodologies used by the bank for liquidity pricing and risk management, and contributing to improvements and developments
• Supporting analysis models, historical behavioural studies, hypothesis testing, and related work to help local and regional management steer the balance sheet
• Assisting senior ALM Treasury team members who manage (including market operations such as short-term borrowings, medium- to long-term funding, interest rate swaps, FX swaps, repos, etc.) the interest rate position of the banking book and the bank’s liquidity risk
• Testing ALM Treasury IT tools and assisting in building new tools if required
