Responsibilities

Functional Description

PepsiCo’s Supply Chain organization provides a demanding, fast-paced opportunity in a competitive industry where growth equals opportunity, and fun accompanies the challenge. Roles are available across Supply Chain Planning, Strategy, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Customer Integration, Commercialization, HQ Manufacturing & Engineering, and PepsiCo Global Template.

Planning

The Supply Chain Planning team includes demand planning (DP), supply planning (SP), contracted operations (ConOps), advanced planning (AP), tactical capacity planning (TCP), and material resource planning (MRP).

  • Anticipate demand for products and plan materials and components, production, distribution, and sale.
  • Balance supply and demand to ensure sales revenue opportunities are exploited in a timely manner at the lowest possible cost.

These roles are highly cross-functional and require strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills, along with communication and influencing skills.

Warehouse Operations

Interns will work on a field-based team. The key objectives are to manage inventory, improve warehouse productivity, and execute shipments to ensure key service metrics are met.

  • Partner with other areas of the supply chain, including demand & supply planning, transportation, customer integration, sales strategy, and finance.
  • Apply strong analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Transportation

Interns will partner with transportation team members to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to plants, distribution centers, and customers.

  • Support safety, DOT regulations, cost control, on-time shipments, and load and tender management.
  • Ensure carrier contract adherence.
  • Gain hands-on experience owning day-to-day transport activities.

Customer Integration Center

Interns serve as a direct point of contact for PepsiCo’s customers. Associates partner with Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning, and Sales to ensure customers receive flawless order fulfillment and delivery.

Customer Integration roles provide exposure to critical skills including effective communication, influence management, data analysis, critical thinking, and process optimization.

HQ Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E)

Interns will provide Manufacturing & Engineering support to beverage manufacturing & warehouse locations in North America. M&E teams are based out of Chicago, IL and Purchase, NY.

  • Support engineering and supply chain initiatives, including project management, development of technical training materials, innovation projects, and managing capital assets.
  • Use data analysis and process improvement to drive results.
  • Gain beverage processing and manufacturing knowledge while impacting key process indicators for the beverage business.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics (other related majors will be considered)
  • Involvement in at least one extracurricular activity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible work schedules
  • Ability to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Flexibility for relocation to support greater advancement opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree within one (1) year of internship completion
  • Pass a drug screen and background investigation

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Expected hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2027 campus intern openings is $21.09 - $34.00 per hour. Role, degree discipline, degree level, and location are considered when determining actual starting salary. Hourly pay for campus hires is pre-determined and non-negotiable.

Full-Time Opportunities: We love to convert our interns to full-time opportunities.
