Local Delivery Driver - D10K

Role Overview

Delivery associate position with PepsiCo at a pay rate of $24.90 per hour. Delivers to all customer types including Foodservice. Drives the delivery vehicle and delivers product to stores. Responsible for ongoing rotation and stocking of product on store shelves, displays, coolers, and vending equipment. Builds small displays and sets up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners. Generates invoices and is responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges. Frequently interacts with store management and receiving personnel for load acceptance as required. The role requires lifting and loading cases ranging from 20–45 pounds repeatedly, and pushing/pulling from 40–150 pounds of force, occasionally. It also requires reaching, squatting, and bending during delivery and merchandising. Unloads pallets using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and places products in designated areas in the store’s backroom.

Primary Accountabilities

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of the shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account
• Safely operate a small Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) greater than 10,000 lbs but less than 26,000 lbs (D10K)

Basic Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Valid DOT Medical Card required

Helpful Experience

• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating stock, cleaning shelves, addressing out-of-stocks and expired products)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (e.g., operating pallet jacks, dock plates, load bars and straps)
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, etc.)
