About the Team

The UK & Ireland Investment Banking & EMEA Corporate Broking team is one of the largest teams in Europe, with approximately 50 bankers covering an extensive retained client base. The team works with well-known public and private companies in the UK across all sectors and is the retained adviser to approximately 1 in 4 FTSE 100 companies.

Analysts receive client exposure from Day 1 and are typically involved in the execution of flagship transactions in the UK and across international borders. They also provide solutions to clients across the full range of investment banking products, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and strategic advisory.

Programme Overview

The Off-cycle Analyst programme is designed to offer a broad and exciting experience of work within Investment Banking.

Training and Development

Your training and development is a top priority. The programme includes extensive formal training at the start, along with on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout.

Responsibilities

As an Off-cycle Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product, and country coverage groups, providing a unique learning opportunity.
  • Actively participate in executing transactions, including work with clients and representatives of other investment banks and other advisors.
  • Help the team deliver solutions to clients by leveraging the full spectrum of the bank’s capabilities.
  • Actively contribute to the preparation of client presentations and underlying financial analysis.
  • Build relationships, knowledge, and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future careers.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have already received or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • If already graduated, the graduation date must be after January 2026.
  • If still pursuing a degree, the completion timeframe must be before July 2027.
  • Completion means all final exams and coursework are completed, and there are no outstanding requirements for graduation.
  • The bank may request evidence of the completion date before extending an offer.
  • On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent).
  • Available to join the programme from Monday, 11 January for four months, with an option to extend for two additional months.
  • If receiving a full-time offer, available to join the graduate programme from July 2027.
  • No deferred start dates are available.
