Role

Credit Risk Advisory Intern (GCBDA - BRMD-CRA), Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia, Business Risk Management Department

Internship Period

11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027

Job Responsibilities

• Help set up and support proactive portfolio management for the Global Corporate and Investment Banking business across APAC.
• Identify and design appropriate strategies for managing current and potential stressed and distressed clients.
• Assist with the preparation of presentation materials related to credit risk training, lessons learned sessions, and other committee meeting materials as necessary to support risk awareness in relevant teams.
• Support the setup of a Management Information framework to keep Management apprised of asset quality across the portfolio.
• Support the monthly credit cost forecast process and annual credit cost budgeting process, including liaison between the First and Second Lines of Defence.
• Provide analytical and administrative support to the BRMD-CRA team.
• Organize regional meetings across coverage departments and credit divisions.

Job Requirements

• Basic understanding of credit risk management.
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and credit documentation (e.g., loan and security agreements).
• Keen eye for detail and intermediate proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize; people- and result-oriented.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency is needed.
• Language proficiency in any other Asian languages will be useful due to coordination with regional partners.
• Willing and able to multi-task and deliver work under demanding timelines in a fast-moving environment.
• Good initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.

Additional Information

• This internship role is based in Singapore and is open to Singaporean and PR students only.
• In Singapore, MUFG internship partners include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
