Summer Internship – Product Analyst (APAC)

Location

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Singapore office. Candidates must be fluent in English to apply to all roles. Opportunities are also available for Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai Cantonese, and Mandarin speakers.

Eligibility

You’re eligible to apply if you:

• Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028.
• Can begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
• Are on track to achieve a minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Are business proficient in English (proficiency in any Asian languages is a plus).

While our eligibility requirements are not flexible, we encourage you to apply even if you do not possess 100% of the desired skills outlined below.

What You’ll Excel At as a Product Analyst

You’ll excel if you:

• Have an interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment management.
• Possess strong analytical skills and have an understanding of programming languages (a plus).
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Role Overview

You will work within the Product Strategy Group, a global team of over 130 professionals responsible for financial market expertise (both internally and externally), strategic business management, as well as entrepreneurship and marketing for a wide range of PIMCO product lines. You’ll gain exposure to financial markets, product design, development and distribution, portfolio analysis, and/or client communication.

You will work with one or multiple specialty teams that focus on covering specific investment strategies (e.g., Multi-Sector Fixed Income (MSFI), Credit, Emerging Markets, Alternatives, etc.). Responsibilities vary between teams but may include:

• Market and economic updates
• Portfolio commentaries
• Client portfolio analytics and investment insights
• Competitor intelligence
• Client presentation materials
• Risk and performance attribution

The PIMCO Internship Experience

• The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program.
• During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success.
• Alongside your colleagues, you’ll participate in PIMCO’s Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees’ worldwide volunteer efforts.
• Join a variety of cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
• Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team provide guidance and mentorship throughout the summer.
• You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future-ready skills and make an impact from the start.
• You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to help you meet your summer goals.

Interview Process

• After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume.
• If you are selected to move forward, you will be invited to complete a one-way video interview and assessment, showcasing your interests, skills, and personality.
• Once you complete the assessment, you will have a final round of live interviews with us via video conference, typically including both behavioral and technical questions.
