About the Team

The Deposit and Remittance Section (DRS) is an operations unit of Mizuho Bank Hong Kong Branch. DRS provides operational support for cash management products and services to different business units, the Head Office, and overseas branches. The team also supports operation and control optimization and participates in new products and business initiative projects that support the bank’s growth.

The Deposit Team in DRS focuses on operational activities related to client account management, time deposits, clearing cheques, cash pooling, FPS, and similar services.

Role Requirements

• Support operational and administrative activities related to client account management and cash management products and services, including account opening and maintenance, cash pooling, time deposits, cheque processing, FPS, remittance processing, and similar tasks.
• Comply with internal procedures, policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., front office and overseas branches) and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors and clients) to support account and cash management operational activities.
• Ensure daily operational and reporting activities are completed within predefined cut-off times, with timely escalation for irregular cases.
• Support assigned projects and ad-hoc tasks as directed by superiors or the section head.
• Handle enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other duties assigned by TH and SH.

Essential Functions

• Handle client account opening and maintenance, time deposits, clearing cheques, cash pooling, payments, and related operational activities.
• Process client deposit account-related instructions, enquiries, and accounting entries from clients and stakeholders.

Work Experience, Education and Skills

• University degree or above in Banking or Finance.
• About 1–2 years of experience in account opening and transaction processing activities, or back-office operations in the banking industry.
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of PC skills, including MS Office.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Analyst.
