[Early Career] Quality Engineer, Security Server Applications

Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is part of IS&T and delivers global-scale platforms and services that keep Apple’s operations secure and running. The team manages identity, device security, and anti-abuse platforms—covering everything from manufacturing and repairs to software updates and activations. ETS also oversees supply chain, manufacturing, and partner integration platforms that protect data on more than 2.5 billion devices worldwide. For global product launches, ETS owns the systems that ramp factory production, managing serial numbers, network credentials, and verified software.

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented Quality Engineer to design and implement quality assurance processes that ensure the delivery of high-quality software products in a distributed environment. In this role, you will drive quality and quality-related development work across team projects.

You will work closely with software development and SRE teams to gain in-depth understanding of how applications work, including business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. You will design, implement, and maintain an automation roadmap for complex services while driving improvements in test strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 1–3 years of work experience in a relevant field
• Demonstrated understanding of creating effective test procedures and test cases
• Strong understanding of QE methodologies and SDLC best practices
• Experience with test automation and test frameworks such as TestNG, JMeter, Selenium, etc. (plus)
• Knowledge of Data-Driven Testing or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test frameworks
• Solid grasp of REST API fundamentals, best practices, and testing concepts
• Skilled in Unix/Linux environments
• Good understanding of database technologies, including relational and NoSQL solutions
• Understanding of security concepts such as PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key exchange protocols, and authentication protocols
