State and Local Tax Intern – Winter 2027

Tax Intern / Tax Associate Responsibilities

Working as part of a team focused on a range of tax specialty areas, including:

• Accounting for income taxes, including accounting methods and periods
• Corporate taxation
• Federal credits and incentives
• Individual taxation
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Pass-through entity taxation
• Private client services
• Not-for-profit organizations

• Complete tax planning and research
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns
• Understand tax regulations and accounting pronouncements

Basic Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed
• Working toward a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• Accounting major
• Travel to assigned client locations is required; must have access to and be able to arrange reliable transportation
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range

$36 - $43 per hour
