In this role, you help customers experience the Customer Promise—providing education and advice tailored to their financial needs so they can make the most of their money and their lives.

As a Private Client Banker in Branch Banking, you are the main point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients, as well as other customers in the Branch. You manage each client’s complete banking relationship using a proactive, disciplined approach to generate growth in their balances. You also help acquire new clients by soliciting referrals and developing internal and external referral sources.

Job Responsibilities

  • Share the value of Chase Private Client with clients who may be eligible.
  • Actively manage client relationships through an advice-based approach to ensure clients receive the best products and services for their needs.
  • Partner with Specialists (Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers to experts for specialized financial needs.
  • Improve client convenience by sharing and setting up self-service options to access accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
  • 1+ year of Branch Banking Banker (or equivalent) experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and generating revenue.
  • Beginning Oct. 1, 2018: if not currently registered, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses are required—or must be successfully completed within 180 days of starting the role.
  • Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience cultivating relationships with affluent clients.
  • Strong team orientation and commitment to long-term career growth with the firm.

Dodd Frank / Truth in Lending Act (Loan Originator Requirements)

This position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMorgan Chase’s review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and other information relevant to whether you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.

This position also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorgan Chase, you will be required to register on NMLS or update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.

Information obtained during registration, update, and renewal processes, or through NMLS notifications, may impact employment. Completed information provided during the Chase online application process may be transferred, on your behalf, to NMLS by JPMorgan Chase. Please ensure information provided to Chase is accurate and consistent with any current NMLS record, if applicable.
