Relationship Banker (Chase Branch)

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, using the latest banking solutions and cutting-edge financial technology combined with friendly and attentive service. You will play a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships with clients, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs and make their lives easier—contributing to the success of the branch.
Job Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Use clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients—building trust by asking questions, listening actively, and anticipating needs.
- Educate clients on technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to support their banking needs whenever and however they want.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions, and collaborate with and connect them to our team of experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries, with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable experiences that elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail to provide a consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire (study materials and support provided).
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Dodd Frank / Truth in Lending Act (Loan Originator Requirements)
This position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent upon JPMorganChase’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to determining whether you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. A felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
This position also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorganChase, you will be required to either register on NMLS or update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorganChase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
