Cashier I

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Cashier I.

In this role, you will

• Demonstrate the ability to be efficient and effective with time.
• Supervise the activities of the cash section and monitor the balancing of cash totals.
• Establish good rapport with customers; handle requests and enquiries skillfully.
• Take personal accountability for decisions, actions, and risk mitigation; solve customers’ problems.
• Address customers’ dissatisfaction and provide alternatives or solutions in accordance with the Customer Response Handling Guideline.
• Provide support to the Customer Service Manager as and when required.
• Perform other branch operational duties as assigned after banking hours.
• Assist other team members to accomplish their work and keep the team on track.
• Serve as the dual controller of cash in the branch and open and lock up the safe.
• Supervise, count, sort, and prepare cash delivered to and from Main Treasury; monitor and estimate branch cash supply.

To be successful, you will need

• University graduate or Associate degree / Higher Diploma / HKCEE / HKDSE holders with passes in Chinese, English, and Mathematics.
• Retail banking experience, with knowledge of general banking products and branch support experience.
• Solid banking experience in cash handling and branch operations.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Attentive to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Adequate customer service orientation and experience.
• Good understanding of branch operations, policies, procedures, practices, rules, and sales compliance requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
