Purpose of the Role

To make independent and concise assessments of Credit Applications and Borrower Rating Applications proposed by the front office. Carry out the necessary covenant compliance checks to mitigate credit risk to the Bank.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide independent assessment of the credit proposals/rating applications submitted by the front office for facilities booked in the Singapore branch.
• Prepare materials required for FSA, BOJ, MAS, or other inspections.
• Perform the preparation and checking of spreadsheets for assigned and new customers.
• Remain alert to economic and business environment changes that may lead to credit issues for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support the credit review and monitoring process for the safety and soundness of the Bank’s portfolio.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Banking and Finance / Business / Accountancy or Economics preferred, though not a prerequisite.
• No experience required; relevant experience is an advantage.
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written English, analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
