Junior Trader - Credit Repo - Analyst/Associate

Division Description

The desk is a profit-and-loss driven function responsible for secured financing on fixed income credit products. It provides financing solutions to both internal and external clients of the firm on liquid credit assets, including corporate and emerging markets bonds and ABS, using a range of financing wrappers such as repo, securities lending, TRS, and credit and repo facilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day risk management for a secured financing trading book covering credit fixed income assets (corporate, ABS, EM).
• Provide leverage to institutional clients, including hedged funds, regulated funds, insurance companies, and others.
• Monitor collateral exposure across corporate bonds, emerging markets bonds, non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), collateralized loan obligations (CLO), Fannie and Freddie risk transfer transactions (CRT), and asset-backed securities (ABS).
• Manage liquidity needs by engaging with and building relationships with external funding sources.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to help expand the platform’s product offerings, working in partnership with the sales team and other internal stakeholders.
• Build and expand the franchise through daily client interaction, operating within the bank’s risk appetite, generating revenues, and optimizing the bank’s scarce resources.
• Identify potential customers and ways to develop new business.
• Stay current on services and products offered across the firm.
• Ensure accurate trade details are communicated to support areas.
