Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Coverage Associate

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Coverage within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (“SGCIB”) is responsible for managing the Bank’s global business relationships with large financial institutions. This role is based in New York and is part of the Banks Coverage team, which currently manages approximately 35 active clients within the Banks portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Support

• Preparation of Client Meetings Briefing memos and Call reports.
• Developing pitch presentations.
• Creating Pre-Screening / Support Memos, including business cases and client profitability analysis.
• Interacting with business line product specialists regarding specific client initiatives.
• Tracking live deal and pitch communications for current and prospective clients.
• Producing a quarterly thought leadership piece.
• Developing detailed client profiles.
• Conducting special sector studies as required.

Compliance & Risk Support

• Coordinating periodic Know Your Client (KYC) reviews.
• Coordinating reverse KYC procedures on behalf of SG for our clients.
• Providing support for the Annual Reviews process, including compiling business comments and risk/fraud forms.

Portfolio Financial Management

• Managing the financial performance monitoring of the Banks portfolio, including yearly budget management, periodic income forecasting, and income correction campaigns.
• Conducting profitability analysis for prospective transactions using advanced Excel modeling.
• Supporting the Coverage team with various internal reports and operational tasks.
• Assisting with Banks Sector Strategy development.
• Performing cross-selling analysis and pipeline reporting.
