Job Title

Global Markets Off-cycle Intern (Jan to Apr 2027)

Position Summary

The candidate will join our Global Markets Division for four months on a part-time basis from January to April 2027. Successful interns will be offered a Graduate Analyst position in August 2027. The application deadline is 31 October 2026.

Location

Asia, Hong Kong (City: HONG KONG)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior sales, traders, structurers, and researchers in daily operations.
• Maintain and develop spreadsheets; perform statistical studies.
• Review and enhance reports produced for or by the Region in relation to sales activities, including Rates, Credit, and FX.
• In accordance with the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA): a successful candidate for an In-Scope Position who has held a position with an In-Scope Institution in the past 7 years will be subject to a mandatory reference check.

Candidate Criteria

Education

• Minimal education level: Bachelor’s degree (BSc or equivalent) or equivalent academic qualification.
• 2027 Summer Graduate able to commit to the entire part-time internship and ready to commence the Graduate Program in August 2027.
• Final-year student of Master’s or Bachelor’s degrees with a strong academic background in Accounting, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience.
• Prior capital markets experience is a plus.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; prior experience in capital markets products is an advantage.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide solutions.
• Self-motivated and hardworking, with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
• Responsible, self-initiative, positive attitude, attentive to details, and hardworking.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other PC applications.

Languages

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
