Wealth Analyst (Mercer) — Hong Kong
This is a hybrid role based in Hong Kong, requiring at least three days per week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Assist in client portfolio management analysis, including asset allocation, investment manager selection, fund performance, risk, and attribution analysis using Mercer’s proprietary analytics tools, internal databases, and third-party resources.
- Support end-to-end client projects through independent research, data analysis using relevant methodologies, drafting written reports, preparing proposals, and attending client meetings.
- Contribute to projects by managing tasks effectively and directly leading some smaller client deliverables.
- Prepare marketing materials, assist in researching complex inquiries, and support business development initiatives and proposals.
- Initiate and lead improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls related to assigned work or projects.
What you need to have:
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background, preferably in Mathematics, Finance (Accounting/Management/Behavioural), Actuarial Sciences, or Engineering.
- CFA or close to completing the charter, or another relevant professional qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various asset classes and fund products.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including the ability to conduct complex comparative analysis with large datasets efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Self-initiative and curiosity in investment services and financial markets, with motivation to seek knowledge, test ideas, and contribute to the team.
- Experience writing or summarising research reports for market/valuation analysis in a professional capacity.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg; VBA, Python, or other programming languages are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
