Intern - Retirement (Pension) Consulting (6-Months Internship)

Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer. This role will be based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Supports all aspects of pension consulting work including design and planning of benefit strategies, drafting correspondence to clients on a range of consulting issues, preparing agendas, papers and minutes for trustees’ meetings.
• Deals with routine queries received from clients, scheme members, third parties and other Mercer businesses.
• Carries out basic calculations for individual members and preparation of figures for corporate accounts with help from more senior members of the team.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance/Actuarial Science, Mathematics or other numerate disciplines.
• Strong self-initiative and curiosity in financial services; self-motivated to seek knowledge, test ideas, and contribute to the team.
• Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with team members.
• Motivated to deliver high-quality work and demonstrate learning agility. Strong personal management to handle a variety of tasks with diverse objectives and team members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills; basic VBA is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
• Client-oriented approach, strong teamwork skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
