Cognita Content Management & Documentation
- Review and understand existing Cognita templates, references, and working documents.
- Organize and maintain Cognita content to improve accessibility and usability for the team.
- Document the purpose, application, and usage guidelines of key templates.
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation structure and knowledge sharing.
Supplier Capacity & Readiness Support
- Support the organization and review of supplier machine lists and capacity-related data.
- Understand how machine capability, capacity information, and MPa data contribute to supplier readiness assessments.
- Assist in preparing capacity-related documentation and reports.
Costing & Commercial Understanding
- Support the maintenance and improvement of part cost templates.
- Learn key cost drivers, including:
- Material and process costs
- Manufacturing assumptions
- Incoterms
- Cost trade-offs and decision factors
- Assist in documenting costing approaches and best practices.
Manufacturing Process & Tooling Knowledge
- Review process and tooling templates to understand:
- Manufacturing capability evaluation
- Quality considerations
- Process risks
- Tooling requirements
- Support documentation of lessons learned and reference materials.
Commodity Management Support
- Support CM-related activities through data gathering, documentation, and analysis.
- Assist in preparing materials related to supplier evaluation, readiness reviews, and project tracking.
- Gain exposure to CM processes and operational requirements.
- Support processes of new supplier onboarding.
Factory Transfer / Past Factory Move Learning (Optional Scope)
- Support documentation and knowledge capture from previous factory transfer activities.
- Review lessons learned and key considerations for future factory moves.
- Help organize historical project information for future reference.
Qualifications
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor or Masters undergraduate in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics.
- Able to commit for a 5-6 months full-time internship, starting in January 2027.
- Strong documentation and knowledge management skills.
- Data analysis, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Interest in manufacturing operations and supplier management.
- Basic understanding of costing and commercial concepts.
- Process-oriented and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to organize information and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
