[Keppel Internship Programme 2027] Intern, IT Governance (Jan - May 2027)

Job Description

The intern will provide subject matter expert guidance on the principles, processes, and technical aspects of domains related to IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (ITGRC). The role supports the establishment and maintenance of governance and oversight for the management of IT risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and reporting of key IT risk exposures and metrics (e.g., KRIs).
• Provide independent reporting on the IT risk posture and/or related activities to management and stakeholders (e.g., second line of defense).
• Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of the IT risk management framework, standards, and procedures to ensure they remain relevant, up to date, and aligned with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate audits, responses, and assessments covering a broad scope of technology and information security topics.
• Support issue remediation through remediation plans that meet open issues management requirements, including root cause identification, corrective action monitoring, and on-time closure.

Learning Outcomes

• Build a strong understanding of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance principles, and IT controls across technology domains, including cyber security-related risks.
• Gain experience working closely with first, second, or third-line functions responsible for technology and information security risks and controls.
• Improve analytical skills and develop practical solutions for effective risk management.
